- Author accounts: name, email, and profile information you enter in the author portal.
- Orders: handled by our payment processor (Shopify). We do not store your card details.
- Technical data: basic logs (IP, browser, pages visited) used to operate and secure the site.
How we use it
- Send the newsletter and updates you opted into.
- Respond to inquiries, manuscript submissions, and press requests.
- Operate author accounts and process book orders.
- Detect abuse and keep the site running.
Legal basis
We process newsletter emails on the basis of your consent. We process inquiries, submissions, and orders to perform the service you requested. We process technical logs based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure site.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site:
- Supabase (database, authentication, file storage)
- Shopify (e-commerce and checkout)
- Lovable (hosting)
Retention
Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Inquiries and submissions are kept for up to 24 months. Author account data is kept for as long as the account is active.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email, or by contacting us. EU/UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and the shopping cart. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
